It is the most wonderful time of the year!! ... no not Christmas!

Fourth of July is one of my very favorite holidays for sure in the top 3 if not the 1st. I love all of the things that go on BBQ with family and friends, parade, running in the Freedom Run, swimming, FIREWORKS, watching movies, the sun beaming, and eating lots of ice cream treats!! My favorite! :)

I would take a day in the sun over a day in the snow any day! (I am my mama's daughter after all) It can get way too hot to bear but there are so many enjoyable ways to fix that! Swimming, delicious drinks (especially water), and so many other things.

I have not had a spontaneous water fight in years but they are the best thing ever! :) So if you are around me where this is possible give it a try if I don't beat you to it! :)

Even though I did not feel very well last night and decided to miss the fireworks I had a great holiday and wouldn't have changed it for anything!! IT was wonderful thank you for everyone who made it so much better by being there for part of it. :)

Just the Beginning

I have now been exercising more regularly. I am trying to get ready for the Freedom Run 5K this year! I usually just run it. This year I want to do my best time and do it faster and feel like I am more in health and not dying during the race :)

So yesterday I ran 3.25 miles on an average of 11:20 minutes. This seems very slow but pretty good for a starting point.

My goal is 8:45 minute miles. :)

Any tips to improve my time or motivate me would be great!

Also anyone whoever wants to run with me would be awesome!

Can anyone guess where I am? I am in CALI!! I went to Disneyland yesterday and I am going back tomorrow. I had a lot of fun going yesterday. I got to hang out with cute 10-yr old Julia Conover. She is very sweet and fun to talk with. I have not gotten to ride any of the really fun rides because Julia was afraid. But I look forward to riding them with others tomorrow :) Hope you are enjoying Utah weather while I am in the very nice awesome Cali weather!

Eliza is soooo cute!!!

Today (and last time) when I was leaving Eliza and Abigail's house after I was done helping to watch them. Eliza ran up to me and gave me tons of hugs and kisses! <3 She then continued by telling me to back visit her again soon. (a million times :)) But then she said,

"Angie, Angie, don't get dead! (over and over!)

I couldn't understand her at first but then when I realized what she said it was hilarious and very sweet at the same time! Eliza is my fun little buddy!

Biggest Loser- Great Season

I favorite TV show is The Biggest Loser. It is the only show that I watch consistently. (keeps me insane with all of this work and school :)) This season has been very exciting there were 6 LDS members on the show and it makes a difference on this season. People have seemed to be nicer to one another. 5 of them are still in the competition and it has been going for quite a while there is only 13 people left. that is 5 out 13 are LDS!
On this season the teams have been mostly the girls against the guys with a couple exceptions but it is fun to watch. The girls have to work harder to loose weight but have won some of the weigh ins.
I think that my favorite people this season as of now is Moses and Kaylie from Shelley, Idaho. They are Polynesian, they are very fun and doing very well. Moses is in first place for weight loss which is great! I am worried Kaylie will be sent home because she is the smallest girl on the show so it is even harder for her to pull big numbers. I am also rooting for Rulon Gardner and Justin Pope (his teammate)
Courtney (aqua team) has been very inspirational to me and motivates me to do better with my goals and be happy with the little accomplishments I have.

I look forward to finishing off the season to see what happens with all the contestants in the end. It makes me happy to see all of these people change their lives.

It is never too late to start watching it yourself! Tuesdays on NBC :) I would love to watch it with someone else!!

It has been a long time since I have written on my blog. :) I want to share a quick story with you. It was Halloween night and we all went with the children to take them trick-or-treating. It was raining really hard and so half of us went inside and the other half kept going. After it stopped raining I took Megan, Kayla, Tyler, and Malia (Megan's friend) out again by myself. We were going from door to door and Malia kept saying she was thristy. Megan told her, "You can get a drink when we get home, we can't stop by or else daddy will not let us leave again. " This was so funny to me especially cause I thought it would have been true if we did go back to get a drink. So we got to the door of a neighbor we knew and Megan asked Sister Packer this, "Instead of candy can I get a drink of water for my friend she is really thirsty!" It was so cute when that happened and we had so much fun together. I enjoyed my time with nieces and nephews.

Summer Reflection :)

What a great Summer!!! The summer is coming to an end and this is a very sad story of my life. I have been having such a great time and now I must move on to my last year at BYU. School can be tough and rough but I will make it through :) I think this year will be the best yet!! I am taking some really good classes I can't wait for and I only have two more GE's!!! I have had a chance to spend time with my family this summer and I have met an awesome guy :) I went on a lot of adventures and spent a ton of time with friends and family! I worked a ton this summer and have saved up money to finish school and now all I have to do is finish! ha ha I must move all of my stuff to my apartment this week which does not sound fun at all at this point but I am sure I will love it when I get there especially since Aubs is going to be there :) My life is always changing whether I take the time to realize or not but the changes have been good for me! My life is so different from before but I am still the same persons! I still have one more week left of summer. What should I do? this is an excellent question! There are so many things that I want to do I can't do them all but I am going to make sure this week is worth while.
Random fact: today Megs painted my toe nails each foot a different color :) haha it is pretty funny, funny looking too.
One of the biggest things to me that happened this summer was the fact that I now have a car!!! WAHOO!! I have been loving every minute of it!! I can go where ever I want to when I want to :)

I love Megs, TY, and Kayla! We had a fun afternoon this only shows the climax! haha I don't remember I couldn't breathe or see anything :D haha it was wonderful! They all decided to dog pile me.

A Good Summer Weekend :D

:) This last weekend was very fun! I did a lot of stuff and still worked a lot! I watched Chronicles of Narnia with Ryan and Brenda which was an adventure in of itself. The movie was very good I enjoyed it which is funny cause I generally don't like movies of that genre but I am starting to enjoy them more! Especially when I have someone as awesome as Ryan to watch them with :D We also went tunnel singing on Sunday which I have only done one other time but it was way fun and I enjoyed it! I sure do love singing not to mention I got to see Clarke which hasn't happened for a long time. Ryan and I ran through the sprinklers afterwards and I chased him around it was a great amounts of fun!! This is only part of why my weekend was so great :D It was nice to have fun and relax.

Trip to Manti!

Yesterday I went on my first road trip in my new car. It was very fun. My friends Brenda and Ryan came along with me and made the trip worth it! We headed out and met up with some of my friends from BYU. We wanted to go on a hike but they did not so we ended up leaving them anyway. Ryan, Brenda, and I noticed there was a M on the mountain and so we wanted to climb to it. It took us a while to figure out how to get to the trail but then we finally found it and did a little bit of hiking around. This was a fun part of the trip. I didn't make it all the way to the M cause we didn't want to loose our seats for the pagaent (which btw were very good!) We had a wonderful picnic we put together before hand that had pico de gallo, crackers, and delicous sub sandwiches with the works of avacado, tomato, lettuce, cheese, pastrami, and ham!
The play itself was amazing. I have not seen it before and either did my friends and so we enjoyed the chance we had to see this wonderful production. We brought glow sticks, had funnel cake, lots of candy and snacks, played card games, and best of all had some awesome conversations together. Brenda and I didn't know Ryan very well he is new in our ward (I was new the same week too) but we were glad to spend time with him and be friends now! We had a long time to talk and have fun in the car after the pagaent was over. This trip was fun and I want to do something else like it this summer. My favorite part was I didn't feel sick or have a migraine, be tired, or onry the whole time! It was wonderful!!

My new CAR!!!

I have been waiting all my life for a car. I have rode the bus and begged people for rides and now my favorite thing is to give people rides cause I know what it is like.

Ailli and I had a blast washing my car. Anything that I do with Ailli is always fun. She is a great friend and I will love her forever and ever! Here are some fun pics that we took documenting my new car.

I I am very happy with my new car and feel very blessed to have it. If you ever need a ride somewhere let me know and I will give you one! I have reached a long time goal!

The only reason why I keep going is knowing I will be able to go swimming with Milly when I am done and go on a date on Thursday night! I won't have to worry about school for a whole summer and than I will be starting my last year of college!!
I must keep pushing through till the end...I can do hard things....

Spontaneous 4 Hr Bus Ride = Priceless

Today I got an exciting email saying I now have a new nephew!! I am so excited!! My mom and dad took the bus up to SLC to see Steve, Laurel, and baby Joshua. I really wanted to go but I had to work. I ended up getting myself off work a half hour early and decided I was still going to go to see Joshua! It took a long time to get back and forth but it was for sure worth it. I loved holding Joshua. He was only about 9 hours hold when I got there and it was wonderful. I felt so happy to hold such a precious baby! It was a great visit with some of my family members. It was time well spent! Congrats Steve and Laurel!!

1 more down 3 to go!

I found out today that I passed all of my classes for Fall 2009 at BYU I took some difficult classes including retaking American Heritage. As the semester has gone on I have become very nervous I would fail again. The tests are hard for me. I studied and studied and studied. Any time my friend Ailli would ask me what I did or was going to do that night the answer was studying for American Heritage. I am so glad and feel so good that this classes are over and won't have to ever worry about them again! I now have three more semesters of college left! I am trying to figure out where the time went!!? I can't figure it out it feels like just yesterday I walked into my first ever college class. At that time it seemed like an impossible task to complete all of the requirements. But now I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am taking a lot of fun classes here at the end I have the worst of it all over with!

Joke of the Day!

Why do we say Amen instead of Awomen?

.....

Because we sing hymns not hers!

This is a joke that my new testament teacher Brother Johnson told us and I have loved it ever since haha.

College: A True Blessing

School is very intense right now. I took two tests today...I study for American Heritage for about 15 hours in the last week. AH! I am done with that one thank goodness... however did not do as well as hoped :D I have to take another test Friday(tomorrow) and one on Monday.... than I have a huge American Heritage paper due Thursday next week...a paper due Friday and a paper due Monday all equally agonizing and lengthy. On top of that I have all normal reading, quizzes and homework assignments. This is typical for all college students here at the Y and I am sure other colleges. When do I enjoy life? Well this might sound odd but I should while I am going through all of this! While studying for my American Heritage test I came to realize I am not at school to pass college and cram everything in and forget it but I am here to learn and apply stuff to life. I learned so much about the US Constitution and government system. I now know how our nation became a nation and how the system works. What a wonderful blessing it is to be here and to learn about such important points in the history of our country. Without the 19th Ammendment which was passed in 1920 I would not have the right as a women to vote. I believe this is a true blessing to be able to vote. Or what a significant even the Civil War was 618,000 people died and was a very bloody war during the time of Abe Lincoln. This helped end slavery. Where would we be today if we still had slavery? I am very grateful to my Father in Heaven to let me have the chance to attend BYU. I hope I can continue to have my eyes open to the real reason I am here whether I pass or fail my classes grade wise this semester I have gained knowledge that I can take with me for eternity! Now that I am forever grateful.
